Partner.io alternative for small B2B partner programs

Partner.io launched in February 2025, built by Callum McKeefery after he sold REVIEWS.io. Today, 19 months on, its pricing page says "Trusted by 2,189 partner programs" and its G2 badge says 4.9 stars. Go to G2 and you find two reviews, both five stars, both posted within a day of each other in June 2025, both from people who could not think of a dislike. We could not find a listing on Capterra, TrustRadius, or Product Hunt.

None of that means the product is bad. A CEO at a mid-market company wrote that his team uses it "every hour of each day," and the Salesfire and Videowise portals it hosts are live and real.

It does mean you are evaluating a young product on its own claims, so we did the same thing: their pricing page, their help center, their terms of service, and their own comparison pages. We sell the other product on this page. Read accordingly, and click the links.

Comparing what each one is built for

Partner.io is a full partner relationship platform, and it is honest about the size of company it wants. Its own getting-started guide says it is for "founder-led technology companies with an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of $2-$15 million that employ Hubspot or Pipedrive." For that company it covers a lot: a branded portal on your own domain, a training academy with certification paths, conditional tiers that grant perks when a partner hits a milestone, SPIFFs and MDF budgets, and account mapping that shipped in March 2026. Payouts run through Stripe with, in their words, "0% fees. Partners get every penny."

SoundGTM is narrower on purpose. Its unit is the deal: a company a partner introduced, tracked from registration through your CRM to close, with the commission calculated on the deal and queued for you to authorize. There is no training academy and no MDF ledger. There is a partner portal, a pipeline view, a risk score on every open deal, and, on trial and paid plans, an MCP server so you can ask Claude or ChatGPT what is stalling without opening the app.

The honest sizing question is whether you need the whole platform. A program with 40 partners, a partner marketing budget, and someone whose title includes the word "partnerships" probably does. A founder with 12 partners and a HubSpot instance mostly needs to know which of those partners sent deals, which deals are quiet, and what she owes at the end of the month.

Comparing price by seats, not by partners

Everything below is from partner.io/pricing and soundgtm.com/pricing, both checked September 11, 2026. G2's listing still says "starting from $159pm"; it is dated June 2025 and the current page says $79, so use the current page.

Partner.io: One plan, $79 a month, billed per seat. Seven-day trial, no credit card, no free tier, and, per their FAQ, no partner limit: "you can add as many partners as you need." An affiliate reviewer who tested it for two months noted that "Growth and Enterprise pricing isn't public" and that full white-label branding sits on a higher tier. We could not find those tiers on Partner.io's own site, so treat that as one reviewer's account. The pricing page does not say who counts as a seat; we assume your team, not your partners, and you should ask.

SoundGTM: Free for one seat, 10 partners, and 50 deals, no card, no time limit. Growth is $50 a month for five seats and 100 partners. Scale is $250 for 15 seats and 500. New accounts get 14 days of Scale, then drop to Free with nothing locked.

The two models cross in opposite directions. Partner.io charges you for every person on your side and nothing for partners. SoundGTM charges you for the size of the program and includes seats in the tier.

For a one-person program with 30 partners, Partner.io is $948 a year and SoundGTM is $600. Put three people on the account and Partner.io is $2,844; SoundGTM is still $600. Run a 2,000-partner affiliate program with one admin and Partner.io wins on price by a mile, because SoundGTM's tiers cap partners and theirs does not.

A Partnerships Manager at a small company named exactly that as the problem it solved for him: "Unlimited Partner accounts. Saving cost and making it easy to scale."

One thing to read before the trial ends. Partner.io's marketing says "Cancel anytime" and "no contracts." Its terms of service say clients using the platform for 91 or more days "will be required to pay a Platform Fee" on terms "set out in a separate Licence Agreement," with an initial term that defaults to one year and renews for a year unless you give 30 days' written notice. Those two documents may describe different customers. Ask which one describes you, in writing, before month four.

Comparing the CRM question

Partner.io lists HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Stripe, Shopify, and Slack. The HubSpot help article describes a sync of leads, accounts, and partner details with contacts, companies, and deals, and the disconnect warning says "and vice versa," which reads as two-way. The Pipedrive article is the most specific: Partner.io pushes referrals in as Pipedrive leads for you to convert to deals, you create three custom fields on the Pipedrive side, and a won deal flows back to make the lead "eligible for lead payments." Salesforce has a marketing page and, as of today, no help-center article.

The gaps are worth knowing too. Zoho and Attio are not mentioned anywhere on the site. Their homepage carries Claude and ChatGPT logos in the integrations strip; we could not find a page, doc, or release note that says what those do, and the string "MCP" does not appear on partner.io or its help center.

SoundGTM connects to HubSpot or Attio on the free tier and to Salesforce, Pipedrive, and Zoho on Growth. You tag the partner on the deal in your CRM and SoundGTM keeps stage, close date, and last activity in sync from there. Each deal gets a risk score from stage, age, and activity.

On paid tiers the check-in email is drafted for you when a deal goes quiet. On trial and paid plans the MCP server exposes 19 tools, so "which partner deals stalled this month" is a question you can ask your assistant.

The trade-off on our side is that SoundGTM calculates and authorizes commissions and does not move the money. Partner.io does, through connected Stripe accounts, with invoices generated on a schedule and a manual approval on each payment. If paying partners from inside the tool is the reason you are shopping, that is a real difference and it favors them.

Choosing

Pick Partner.io if you are a $2 million to $15 million technology company on HubSpot or Pipedrive, you want one platform that recruits, trains, tiers, maps accounts, and pays partners, and per-seat pricing suits a small team with a large partner list. Its feature list is broad and the two customers who reviewed it are visibly happy.

Pick SoundGTM if you are running a B2B partner program from your CRM with one or a few people, you care most about proving which deals partners drove and what you owe on them, and you would rather start free than start at $79 a seat.

Whichever you pick, the seat you are not sure about is the one to price first.
